This is an excellent video. I highly recommend it if you're interested in making katanas. It's worth the rental price just to see the straight blade develop its curve during the post-heat treatment quenching process. That was awesome!
There is some good information on this video, but it is presented very slowly. There's about 30 minutes of instruction stretched out over the 2 hour video. The rest of the time is spent watching Mr. Broadwell carve or, in some cases, watching his hands block the camera's view of the carving.
