These two videos are outstanding. If you have any questions about Plein Air painting, Richard will answer them. He is painting in changing conditions, i.e. changing light, snow, all around weather changes. First he shows you how he sets up, paints, and finishes. Then he answers general questions that people have. He then takes you into his studio and just gives general painting tips. He answers questions about painting edges, what colors to use (color charts), and many more. The videos are a little different not taking into account the different seasons so I would highly recommend renting both of these videos on painting landscapes.
These videos were outstanding. I rented them all and I was not dissapointed. Ramon takes you into his studio and tells you all about his setup and materials. He explains how to setup the light, model, still life etc. He then answers general questions about his life and painting. These videos were shot in a studio and there were plenty of palette, and easel shots throughout the videos. I would highly recommend these.
I rented them all and I enjoyed them all. Each one has a little different approach to painting. I like the way all three artist began their paintings. Each artist prepares their painting surface a little different and I learned from them all. Each DVD talks about lost and found edges, perspectives, and color temerature changes. These are all very informative DVDs and I recommend them all.
These videos are great. Bob shows four demonstrations on two dvds. Bob starts each painting a little different. They are all painted on sanded paper and he uses two different colors of paper. Bob shows four different methods of washing in values to start a painting. He also teaches his way of using a fixative. Bob does not use the fixative in the traditional way, but uses it to make his darks stay dark. I am very impressed with these dvds and the amount of information on each one.
