This is a very impressive set of DVDs. I watched the entire series, and found any number of things that will make a difference when I work with my old South Bend lathe.
It's like being in a shop with an experienced machinist, and he's just showing you what to do and explaining why these methods make sense.
It is just simple, down-home, plain language instruction--exactly the way I like it. I highly recommend this series.
An informative introduction to jewelers' and watchmakers' lathes. I learned a bit about the history of the lathes, and quite a lot about what to look for when purchasing a used lathe. The information about collets was especially helpful.
I look forward to the other discs in the series.
This DVD and the others in the three-part series are among the best I've seen--and I've seen quite a few of the various Photoshop tutorials. The series gives you a no-nonsense look at solving specific problems with photographs.
I've seen lots of Photoshop instructional DVDs and videos, and this is one of the best. I rented the entire series of three discs, and each one was very helpful.
