All in all a good introduction to the hardy little pistol. It is a bit short on the history (but that is to be expected given the conflicting histories out there re the makarov) but as usual, Mr.Dunlop is spot on in regards to the function/disassembly and cleaning of the Makarov. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a deeper understanding of the pistol's workings.
Great look at the old warhorse pistol. Breaks donw the cleaning, function and troubleshooting perfectly. Mr. Dunlop and AGI are in top form in this one. Fantastic. Explanations are easy and they have excellent cut out pistols so you can see the pieces interacting and functioning properly. Great video.
AGI and Mr. Dunlop have created a solid little video on the sks here. First, the cons: the video was a bit disjointed or jumbled (quite a few back tracks and "I almost forgot to mention..."). Aside from this however, the look at the sks was very detailed and well explained. Everything is broken down in real time and the reasoning behind each design of the weapon is also discussed. I would have like to see a bit more on the stock options but that would be more customization than armouring. Nonetheless,I learned alot ( I have been fighting with my sks and taking it down the wrong way for years, DUnlops method much easier). THe cleaning hints were great as were the tuning tips. All in all a good film which I will definitely be purchasing for my private collection.
Alright, thus far I have rented about 8 videos from this fine site and I must say that this dvd was my first dud. The title of this video should be "Get shot, but look snazzy while doing so". I assumed I would be getting a wealth of dryfire drills and assorted other "away from the range" practical drills for the AR. Instead, what I got was something that seemed to be akin to yoga/pilates with an AR-15. I kid you not. There are sections on doing crunches with the ar, biceps curls with the Ar-15 and other assorted madness. If I was interested in that I would have whipped out my old Tae Bo tapes (you work up a better sweat). I am really dissapointed in this DVD. So much so that I will most likely not touch anything with the maker in it. BICEP CURLS PEOPLE!?!?! Wow, I don't know what to say. This should be air dropped to our enemies in the hopes that they will actually use the stuff in this video -hence making combat against them that much easier. :) Harsh. The sound quality was nice however, and the accessories section was alright.
I've come to expect the best from AGI and they have yet to dissapoint me. This video is an excellent look at the Ak-47 for someone looking to get intermediate level knowledge on the subject. The explanations are excellent as usual, as is the instruction. This is a must watch AK-47 video for the budding armorer. Great video.
This is the best cowboy action lever gun video I have come across. Evil Roy knows his stuff and shows you all. I counted 5 shells in the air at once! Accurate and ridiculously fast fire. He breaks down everything from which guns are common on the circuit, cleaning the guns, features to look for when purchasing a lever gun, timers, dry fire drills of all sorts, shooting drills with metal poppers, q targets and all in a structured, measured method that lets you monitor your progress and learn the most information in the shortest period of time. This man is focused.
Great!
This video is great!. It takes you from complete beginner (i.e." Which end goes bang again?") to understanding the finer points of windage, range estimation, cover (with graphic/eye openning demonstration of the diff. bet cover and concealment) and my favorite -exacting/minute detail of all the various supported and unsupported firing positions. There are some quality/camera issues (mostly related to lighting in some instances or sound) nonetheless, this video is a must have. Fantastic video and no one does it better than the Corp!
The entire series is EXCELLENT,EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT. While the older dvds in the series are a bit hokey (due to the age/time of production) the information contained therein and demonstrated by Mr. Magill is encyclopedic. You may remember that I had a less than stellar opinion of the Ar-15 workout, but I would not hesitate to purchase and recommend all the dvds in this set. You learn a wealth of information about all manner of carry techniques (each successive dvd incorporating more modern info and updating information from the last ones) as well as shooting techniques. Pros and cons of everything from shoulder holsters to shoelace/inside the belt jerry rigs are demonstrated. You watch Mr. Magill train and, more importantly, model the various kinds of holster/carry systems while moving around (and yes there are different kinds of models- Mr. Magill, a portly man with a rather larger gut, as well as females). Do not sleep on these videos. They are the best thing short of strapping on a prospective holster system and trying it out in person.
Fantastic video that demonstrates conclusively the importance of movement in an armed confrontation in so far as increasing the odds that an assailaint will not plug you full of holes. You watch some simunition/airsoft type confrontations with various angles of movement on the part of Magill and analyze the effectiveness of said movements (diagonal to the left, straight back, straight across, diagonal to the right etc). The theories put fwd by Mr. Magill are thoroughly demonstrated and explained. Excellent DVD.
