Great video - highly recommended. He starts from a small field study and creates a larger painting - he makes it look easy - it isn't.
This is a wonderful DVD. Very full of usefull information about plein-air painting and how Matt Smith does it. He is a great teacher.
Scott takes one of his small field studies and paints a larger gallery type painting from it. I purchased this video before I discovered TVR and I still think it was worth it. He spends a lot of time discussing values and color temperature. He uses a limited palette of colors. If you like landscape painting and enjoy paintings that do not use overly bright colors you will enjoy this video. Highly recommended.
I actually bought the first 2 videos before they became available here. I would recommend both. In painting the way the eye sees he talks about values and center of interest. He does demos and helps you with composition.
This is one of the best oil painting videos I have ever seen - and I have watched a lot. If you have any interest in portraits you should watch this. It is quite long because he shows you everything he does. Highly recommended.
This is one of the very best videos on oil painting. The side trips in shapes and values are excellent. Even if you don't want to paint the same way he does you can learn alot form this video. The first 2 videos are the best.
This video goes over painting the head monotone in 3 different angles (full face, 3/4 view and profile. I thought it was a great video for teaching values. I will use this method of starting my color paintings more often now. Well worth renting
Ken has a loose painting syle and is very passionate about his painting. I found the pacing back and forth with his lecturing very annoying. I enjoy the videos where the instructor talks less and demonstrates more. For some people this will be a five star video and for others it will be one star. I thought it was interesting that he does not clean his brushes and uses caulking guns to put his paint out.
Highly recommend it for landscape painters.

Bill uses pastels, not paint. He does a good job but this video may be in the wrong section. The materials aside, he explains the composition and I thought it was worth renting.
Excellent video. As stated he is difficult to understand but he makes some very good points if you are willing to make the extra effort to understand him.
