All you metal-working hobbyists will definitely want to read this:
This is your chance to win a high quality, American-made Sherline
metalworking lathe absolutely free!

We’re holding a drawing on June 15th, to give away one
brand new Sherline 4000 metalworking lathe to one lucky customer.
How do you enter to win? Just rent any metalworking video from
SmartFlix between today and June 10th. Every video you rent is a
whole ‘nother chance to win. Rent one video, and you’ve got one shot;
rent 9 metalworking videos (maybe the 4-dvd Professional Lathe Course
set and the 5-dvd Lathe Learnin’ set , and you’ve got 9 times as many
chances to win.
The Sherline 4000 is one sweet little machine. It has a powerful 90
VDC motor with electronic speed controller, a 2.75″ x 6.0″ crosslide,
15″ steel bed, laser engraved aluminum handwheels, and a bunch of
accessories. This lathe can turn a part up to 3.5″ in diameter over
the bed or up to 1.88″ over the carriage without riser blocks. With an
optional riser block, parts up to 6″ in diameter can be turned over
the bed. The pulley has a second position that offers extra torque at
low RPM if needed.
This lathe is an excellent choice for clockmakers, modelers or others
who work on small parts. It is easily used where space is at a premium
and can be stored on a closet shelf.
…And, last but not least, it’s the lathe that got the president of
SmartFlix interested in metalworking, and led him to start the
company!
What could be better? A chance to rent tons of great metalworking
instructional videos on everything from the Fundamentals of Machine
Lathe operation to CNC to threads and gears to welding, all with a
bonus: the chance to win the sweetest desktop lathe on the market.
Rent some metalworking videos from SmartFlix today, and win a Sherline!

So you have to buy something to enter? I think that makes it gambling…
John
I love this. I can’t wait for my son to be old enough for me to have time to be a customer.
John,
The offer may not be legal in all states, and is void where prohibited by law.
Robert,
Thanks! Keep us in mind a few years down the road!
I rented alot of the awhile back oh well i always get things a the wrong time
I’d like to make a suggestion, and I don’t know where else to submit it.
I think it would be a good idea to allow someone to reserve an upcoming title if he was the person who suggested it for the catalog.
Months ago I suggested a title, and it was finally added to the catalog. I’ve been checking for it on SmartFlix almost daily, It finally showed up in the catalog on June 14. I saw it on June 15 and immediately ordered, but I was too late (I knew it would be popular), It’s already out of stock and now I have to wait. I feel that, since I suggested a potentially profitable title, I Should be offered the opportunity to be the first to rent it.
Just a thought.
I’ve rented several videos from SmartFlix, and I’m starting to budget it into my plans for my personal art development. I just returned one set of DVDs this week, and have already ordered another. This is one of the best services on the net!
Addendum to above post (no need to add it to comments)
The DVD I suggested was the new Scott Burdick Charcoal video. It has been in your catalog for two days and already says “Very long wait.”
I seem to have picked a winner! Getting first dibs would be ample reward! :)
So Who Won?
